Day Care Center

The continuous process of urbanization has caused us to shift from the joint family set-up to nuclear family existence. This is in fact a hindrance to those who have young children. Why? This is simply because due to the expensive standards of urban living every family of an average of four members requires to earning members. This turns out to be the husband and wife.

Under such realistic circumstances obviously after giving birth the mother is required to return to work at the earliest in order to avoid termination of duty. No in-laws to take care of the child, the need to make a living, so what is the next best option? The day care centre.

A day care centre is set up in a way to function as a second home for your child. Even the attendants are trained to function as surrogate mothers. They tend to your child in a way that your child does not feel like an outsider. The child’s every need is taken care of, right from medication to nappy changing and feeding timings. Apart from taking care of your child, the day care centre also takes the responsibility of training your child in the basics that usually he or she would be taught at home.

There are day care centers that have a formal sort of institutional setting and there are the in home daycare centers that are started in the confines of one’s residence. No matter where the daycare centre is set-up it functions to take care of your child as you would have done at home. When selecting a daycare centre for your child you have to remember that you yourself are comfortable in the centre. You have to see that the environment is cozy and comfortable. Another aspect that you need to keep in mind is the hygiene and sanitation standards maintained at the daycare centre and finally the nature and personality of each one of the attendants and care-takers.
